Warm, buttery tortillas rolled with cinnamon sugar and toasted until crisp and golden. Using fresh-cooked La Fresca uncooked tortillas gives these roll-ups a soft interior and a lightly crispy exterior—similar to a quick churro-style dessert.
Perfect for an easy dessert, after-school snack, or sweet breakfast treat.
Cook the uncooked tortillas: Heat a dry skillet over medium heat.
Cook each La Fresca uncooked tortilla for about 30–45 seconds per side until lightly golden and soft.
Stack them on a plate and keep warm.
Make the cinnamon sugar: In a small bowl combine:
Mix until evenly combined
Butter the tortillas: Spread a thin layer of softened butter over each warm tortilla.
Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly across the surface.
Roll them up: Starting at one edge, roll each tortilla tightly into a long cylinder.
Toast until crispy: Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat.
